  1. ok that pumpkin butter is so, so good! Graci and I baked natural banana bread for Ben. Then I took low cal and whole grain blueberry mix and added blackberries from the freezer(used juice) to make them purple..the color is dynamite! I might send ya one πŸ™‚ They taste healthy πŸ™‚ Graci and I made rice pudding…she liked it ok and I LOVED it b/c it was warm on a snowy day! Now the pizza dough is in the bread maker(daddy’s job) and we are using Gluten Free pantry mix for a french bread crusty for Graci and I! I am off to do my 1st day of Jillian’s.my friend lost 10 lbs on it!! I start back to spin on Thursday 530am too err! That means I must leave this house too early yikes.

I am secretly hoping for a Monday snow day! More baking! I have a new coconut cake recipe. Reminds me have you made a watermelon salad from Epicuran website? Oh my gosh !!! Little costly but so, so worth it! Its a huge hit. I will try to find it ok!

  2. Please, please stop saying “my ex-Chinese” students. They are most likely still Chinese, but are your ex-students.
Thank you! I love your blog. I work with Wayne’s wife, Carol.
    Love, Jana

  3. I am in love with your blog, you are amazing and so inpsiring. the first day I read your blog i spent three hours that night reading through all your posts. I know creepy, right? I was getting really frustrated with my diet and everyone was telling me to journal and I could see where I was losing focus. I am not much of a journaling person, it seems like another chore. then i saw your blog and being a visual person it imeadiately became clear to me this was exactly what I needed. Thank you for your lovely posts and your stories about your class, you are truly amazing!

  5. I’m pretty sure I read that you will be taking this school year off – if that is correct – how are you feeling as the beginning of the new school is upon us? Excited that you get to be home with Baby A of course – but are you missing the 3rd graders at all?? DO you think you will go in and visit? WOuld love to know your thoughts on staying home this year πŸ™‚

  6. Katie- I read this and think….” is she for real????” And then I talk to your sweet aunt Sheryl ( my second mother) and she assures me you are!!! I love your blog it inspires me to bake…which I love to do and really find myself doing each and every day with 5 growing kids. I think of you each time I am making something and think…..
